Summer is here, and with it comes long days, warm evenings, and the chance to fall in love with nature all over again. At Valley Outdoors, Summer means time on the river, the laughter of the Canoe Carry Race at the Kangaroo Valley Show, and moments that
linger well beyond the balmy sunsets. This year, our Summer begins with some exciting news we’re proud to share….
Back in 2021 when we started Valley Outdoors we had to deal with lockdowns, road and venue closures, and COVID. Our small team continued to dream BIG and chip away at our small goals day in and day out.
And now, we are honoured to share that Valley Outdoors has been named a two- time winner at the 2025 World Luxury Travel Awards!
We had the privilege of attending the gala ceremony in Singapore to represent Kangaroo Valley, New South Wales, and Australia on the world stage — an incredibly humbling experience surrounded by extraordinary operators from around the globe. But this achievement isn’t just ours. It belongs to everyone who has supported us. Your votes, your belief in us, and your love for what we offer made this moment possible. We’re still absorbing the magic of it all — and feel deeply grateful. Here’s to new goals, new chapters, and many more moments of time in nature together.
For more than 30 years, Kangaroo Valley Safaris has played an iconic role in the paddling story of Kangaroo Valley. Generations of families, adventurers, school groups, and nature-lovers have dipped their paddles into these waters under the guidance of KVS. This Summer, we are honoured to share that Valley Outdoors is now the new custodian of this long standing legacy. It is a privilege to step into a story built on passion, adventure, and deep respect for this beautiful valley. With the same spirit that KVS has embodied for decades - now strengthened by Valley Outdoors’ expertise, high-quality equipment, and our unwavering commitment to “time in nature together” - we look forward to carrying the KVS tradition into the future. Starting mid-December, join us every Saturday at 10am for a fun, accessible and inclusive guided kayak tour from the Historic Hampden Bridge to Bendeela Recreation Area.
