Want to paddle Hampden Bridge to Bendeela?

As qualified whitewater instructors, we know that this section of the Kangaroo River can be risky to paddle for inexperienced paddlers due to some of the inherent risks of moving water.

As such, we offer a guided canoeing experience for those wanting to take on this adventure. Bridge to Bendeela is a great location for beginners to be able to learn about paddling in flowing water and reading a river in a safe and supported environment.

Valley Outdoors supplies correct safety equipment for paddlers as well as a qualified guide with safety and rescue equipment.

MULTI-Day Self-Guided Adventures

Paddlers from all over the world come to paddle up the famous Shoalhaven Gorge. As one of Australia’s most untouched and remote flat water overnight paddling destinations, there is no better place to explore via paddle craft.

Using a canoe, you can bring all of the things you need plus all of the things that you want, to escape to the wilderness in comfort and see all that The Canoeing Capital of Australia has to offer.

To get the most out of this location we recommend 3 days/2 nights, but trips can be as short as 2 days/1 night or you can explore nearby side creeks and easily extend your trip to 4 or more days. Ask us for recommendations!
  • Standard 2-seater canoe hire = $180/canoe/day
  • Standard 3-seater canoe hire = $200/canoe/day
  • Ultralight 1 or 2-seater canoe hire = $230/canoe/day
